James “Jim” Edward Hennessee, age 91, of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 6th, 2024 at NHC Pulaski. Jim was born on September 26, 1932 in Dunlap, Tennessee.
Jim served in the United States Army from May 1952 to December 1972 and retired with the rank of 1SG. He was a decorated war hero with 32 medals after serving in the Korean War and Vietnam War. While stationed at Fort Campbell, KY, he met the love of his life at a military dance in Nashville, TN. In civilian life, Jim retired from Fafnir Bearings in Pulaski, Tn. Jim was an avid golfer in his younger years, an enthusiastic reader, enjoyed watching SEC sports on TV, loved Tennessee football, and cherished his family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 11th, 2024 at 2:00pm at Beechwood Cemetery in Cornersville, TN with Bro. Monty Franklin officiating.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Melba Hennessee and Edmund and Allie Hobson, his sister, Betty Lyston, his brother, David Hennessee, and sister-in-law, Gwen Oliver.

Grandson, Shannon Newton (Meghan) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Grandson, Shay Hennessee of Mountain City, Tennessee
5 great-grandchildren.

Brothers-in-law, Don Wood (Kathy) of Jonesboro, Texas and Johnny Oliver of Pulaski, TN
