It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James “Jim” Cortez Chambers of Arab, AL, who passed away October 15, 2021 at the age of 86
Jim was born December 29, 1934 in Spring Creek, Tennessee to Minnie Irene Parker Chambers (deceased) and Floyd Ira Chambers (deceased). He was a 1952 graduate of Waverly High School and served in the U.S Air Force from 1954 to 1962. He was married to Sandra Mick Chambers (deceased) for 60 years. He retired from Wyle Laboratories in 1996 and was a founding member of New Covenant Baptist Church.
Jim is survived by his son, James Chambers II; daughter, Lisa Chambers Musto; grandson, Brandon Tyler Davis; granddaughters, Anna Chambers and Rachael Chambers.
Visitation for Jim Chambers will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with service to follow in the Chapel. Glen Stewart and Santo Ruiz will be officiating. Burial will be at Arab Memorial Cemetery.
