James “Jim” Clark Woods – Obituary

James “Jim” Clark Woods, 64, of Addison, passed away Monday. Jim was born in Birmingham, AL to the late Dr. Arthur Waterston Woods II of Chicago, IL and Inez Alston Woods of Addison, AL

Jim is survived by the love of his life, Kristie Gatlin; sisters, Kathy Woods, Mary Woods and Susan Woods; daughters, Haley Woods and Allie Woods; two uncles and an aunt; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Art Woods.

Jim was a graduate of Auburn University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He spent 30 years in the electronics industry prior to retiring to his farm in Winston County where he spent the happiest years of his life.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held March 9, 2014 at his farm in Addison, 303 Alston Rd., Addison, AL 35540. The celebration will begin at 11 a.m. with a luncheon following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Village of Promise, Inc., P.O. Box 18637, Huntsville, AL 35804.
