James Hubert “Hubie” Davis, 73, went to be with the Lord Sunday, March 7, 2021. James was born in Franklin County, AL and worked at Federal Mogul/NTN Bower for thirty-six years.

Services will be Wednesday, March 10, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Loyd Ray Griffus and Adam Pharr officiating.  Burial will be in Shottsville Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

James is survived by his wife of fifty-three years – Brenda Stone Davis; his daughters – Melissa McHenry (Kenny) and Lorie Cochran (Lee); grandsons – Garrett McHenry (Callen), Brady, Dylan and Ethan Cochran; granddaughters – Abigail McHenry (Bradley Jones) and Annslee Parker; great-granddaughters – Kacen, Hadley and Brentley McHenry; one sister – Janet Gober (Glyne); five sisters-in-law – Carolyn Lasher (Doug), Linda Bostick (Steve), Ellaween Ables (Jerry), Deborah Scott (Clifton) and Joan Emerson (Gary); two brothers-in-law – Kenneth Stone and Michael Stone (Angie)  and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. and Bonnie Davis, his in-laws, William Carol Stone and Tellie Stone and two nephews, Keith Stone and Lane Emerson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Huntsville Cancer Center, Dr. Rosa Ortega, Robin and Harmony and Caring for Life Hospice for the wonderful care given to James.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CB&S Bank, c/o Brenda Davis for James’ medical expenses or to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 10, 1-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
