James Howard Bennett, 89, of Haleyville, entered into rest Friday, July 2, 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center.
James was born on January 10, 1932 in Boaz, Alabama
Visitation was on Monday, July 5, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service was held at 3:00 p.m. Steve Tidwell officiated. Burial was at Winston Memorial Cemetery.
James is survived by his son, James Allen Bennett; his daughters, Pauline Hood (Dennis) and Patsy Martin; sisters, Ollie Mae Moore and Frances Jones; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and numerous nephews & nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Maxine; parents, James L. Bennett and Sallie Barton Loveless; sisters: Anna Terry, Dorothy Gandy and Ruby Vanderford; son in-law, Clarence Edward Beasley; and great-great grandson, Bryson Waldon.
