James Harold Cantrell, 71 of Arab, the Brashiers Chapel Community, died Sunday January 21, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Cantrell was born November 17, 1946 in West Point Mississippi to Norman Joseph Cantrell and Dorothy Elaine Jefferies Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell moved to Arab from Haines City Florida in 1975. He served in the Florida National Guard and was a commercial truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed old model cars, small engine repair and cattle farming.
He was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Cantrell is survived by his children and in-laws: Brian Cantrell and Sonya, Angela D. Thomas and Dwight, Shari Glispie and Jimmy Ray and Tiffany Elaine Cantrell; his grandchildren: Mercedes Cleveland Crane and Matthew, Jessica Cleveland Wood and Garrel, Dillian Cantrell, Triston Cantrell, Kolby Cantrell and Blake Brown; great grandchildren: MaKenna Cantrell, Zoe Crane and Nicholas Brown; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe Cantrell and Becky and Mickey Cantrell and Deloris; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Kay Gotts and Davis, Debbie Wallace and Jim, Tammy Gibson and Jackie and Donna Cantrell. He was preceded in death by his parents: Norman Joseph and Dorothy Elaine Jefferies Cantrell.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brothers: Mitchell Johns and Joey Staton, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be John Kelly, Marty White, Jimmy Kelly, Chris Kirkland, Bobby Cleveland, Timmy Kritner and Dean Carr.
Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, prior to the service.
