Funeral services for James Harold Bonds, 72 of Glen, MS., are set for 11am on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Magnolia Funeral Home – East with interment in Hinkle Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 5pm-9pm and Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 10am – 11am at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Bro. James Voyles will officiate the service. Born October 22, 1953 in Corinth, MS., James passed from this life on July 11, 2026 at his home in Glen. He was of the Church of Christ Faith and a retired yard maintenance man. James loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren brought him immense joy. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, watching wrestling and westerns. He was a people person and never met a stranger. James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggie Bonds; son, Elvis Bonds; daughters, Ann Brimingham and Shannon England (Robert); 6 grandchildren, Tristan Briminghan, Hunter Brimingham, Caitlyn Brimingham, Alyssa England, Aubrey England and Ashlei England; brothers, Jesse Wayne Bonds and George Bonds; sisters, Mary Vanderford, Leona Hicks, Linda Calton, Kay Baswell (Jackie),Sue Bruner (Don)and Denise Moody (Billy); other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lee “Short” Bonds; mother, Willie Lavada Bonds; brothers, Willie Bonds and John Thomas Bonds; and his grandparents, Jon and Loney McAnally and Issac and Ann Bonds.
