Obituary of James Hall McKinney James Hall McKinney, 74, of Baldwyn, MS, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at his residence. James was born August 26, 1952, to Marvin and Bernice Hall McKinney. He was a devoted member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo. James worked as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Registered Cardiopulmonary Therapist at North Mississippi Medical Center for 33 years.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1305 Lawhon Drive, Tupelo, MS 38804 with Pastor David MacKain officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.

James is survived by his wife, Eleanor “Ellie” McKinney; his sons, Barry McKinney (April), Brandon McKinney (Pam), James Bradley McKinney (Robin), John Robbins (Carolyn), and Chad Robbins (Kevin); his daughters, Rhea McVay (Kevin) and Renee Robbins (Alberto); his brothers, Marlin McKinney (Barbara) and Larry McKinney (Marilyn); his grandchildren, Logan, Ian and Cadin McKinney, Brianna, Shayleigh and Brannon McKinney, Jacob Malkin, Jordan, Taylor and Tucker Robbins, Tristian Robbins, Isabella Robbins Rodriguez, Zoi McVay Hudgins, and Kyle McVay; and his great-granddaughter, Holiday Robbins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert McKinney; and his sister, Sandra Owens.
