James Gerald ‘Jim’ Estes, 77, of Curry, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Eldridge Baptist Church, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church, with burial to follow at Kelley Cemetery in Eldridge.
Mr. Estes was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Lee Estes; mother, Lila Eva Estes; brother, Frank Estes; and sister, Joan Shubert.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon R. Estes, of Jasper; daughters, Amy Morrow (Josh) and Michele Griffith (Jamie); son, Michael Estes; sisters, Cheryl Cooner (Wayne), Debbie Farris (Kurby), Donna Hinds (John T.), Maurice Estes and Annette Nelson (Jerry); brothers, Sammy Estes (Sharon) and Danny Estes (Debbie); sister-in-law, Judy Estes; brother-in-law, Ken Shubert; grandchildren, Emily Redmill (Caleb), Jaime Engle (Jake), Blake Estes, Ian Morrow, Kamdyn Morrow and Cody Griffith; and great-grandchild, Collins Redmill.
