James Franklin Winning, age 82, Huntsville, Al. formerly of Springfield, IL., passed away Sunday May 1, 2016 at his home. He lived in Springfield, ILL. from 1957 till 1994, then he moved to Huntsville, AL., was a retired Chemist with the State of Illinois, member of the Methodist Church.
His visitation will be on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL., with his service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be in Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, AL.
Pallbearers will be, Ross Winning, Grant Winning, Randy Ergle, Jeff Hilliard, John Hilliard, Jason Hilliard and Ronnie Davis.
He is survived by his sons, James Stephen Winning of Huntsville, AL. and Lewis Todd Winning of Rochester, IL.; grandchildren, Stephanie Trousdale, Ross Winning and Grant Winning; great grandchildren, Carson and Riley.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Benjamin Franklin and Eileen Martin Winning; wife, Virginia Yvonne Knight Winning and brother Jack Dean Winning.
