James Ernie Parker, of Town Creek, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age of 71. His visitation will be today, May 15, 2018 from noon to 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Nelson Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with military honors.
James served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Brown and Root as an electrician and an instrument technician. He was preceded in death by his parents, LU and Mittie Jean Parker; brothers, Billy Ray Parker, Bobby Jean Parker, Cecil Parker and Wayne Parker; and sister, Gail Patterson.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Parker Elliott; sons, Jamey Parker and Jordan Parker; brothers, Elliott Parker and Roger Halbrooks; sisters, Faye LuAllen, Doris Terry, Jerrie Neal Terry, Ruth Tucker, Rhonda Breland and Linda Brackin; and grandchildren, Evan Elliott and Malia Elliott.
