Emmett was a man of few words but deep loyalty. He loved his family and friends with a quiet strength that left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He found great joy in the outdoors, especially deer hunting, duck hunting, and fishing—passions he carried with him throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Sanders Ward; his son, Michael Walton; his brothers, Kenneth, Roy, and Lloyd Ward; and his grandson, Casey Walton.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Tracy Stewart; his sisters, Linda Carter and Sandra Pafford; his grandchildren, Brandi Fletcher and Casey Jo Patterson; and his great-grandchildren, Noah, Olivia, and Walter. He also leaves behind six nephews and four nieces who will miss him dearly.
Services for Emmett Ward will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Maple Springs Cemetery.
Emmett will be remembered for his quiet presence, his love for the outdoors, and the steadfast love he had for those closest to him.
