James Edward Willingham, age 83, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015. His family will receive friends Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Saturday, 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Chad Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Guy Cemetery.
Mr. Willingham was a Colbert County native and served in the U. S. Army Airborne during the Korean War. He was a member of the Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Willingham, daughter, Paula Jane Willingham and parents, O’Neal and Alta Willingham.
He is survived by his sons; Lee Willingham, Wesley Willingham, Tim Willingham and Paul Willingham, daughters; Sue Thorne and Vickey McClendon, brothers; O’Neal Willingham, Gary Willingham, Roger Willingham and Terry Willingham, sisters; Janice Harris, Shelia Willard, sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Danny Joe Puckett, Brad Thorne, Jason Willingham, West Willingham, Randy Smitherman and Thomas Davis.
Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Dale Howard and William Boggus.
