Dr. James Edward Russell, 85, of Harvest, AL, passed away July 16, 2015 at his residence. He was a member of the Chiropractic Society of Alabama, and a Doctor of Chiropractic for 53 years; he practiced until 2013.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Sammy Gilbreath officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Dr. Russell was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Pickens Russell; mother, Beulah Almeda Popejoy Russell; sister, Doris Nelda Russell Creel.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Harvey Russell; five loved children, Edward Rice Russell, Jesse Paul Russell (Myra Ellen), Carra Rebecca Russell Langstaff, James William Russell (Jane Murphy), Roy Jonathan Russell (Suzanne); grandchildren, Carra-Ellen Russell, Emily Katherine Russell, Quintus James Langstaff, Dara Suzanne Russell, Samuel Russell Langstaff, Kayla Rebecca Russell, and Clyde William Russell.
Active pallbearers will be: Johnnie Burke, Sam Lambert, Russ Creel, Tal White, Quint Langstaff, and Sam Langstaff. Clyde William Russell will serve as honorary pallbearer.
