James Edward Roberts Sr., age 56, of Tuscumbia, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015. Visitation will be today from 9-11 a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with his brother-in-law, Chris Melton, and Brother Jimmy Ivey officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts worked with BigBee Steel for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Mildred Roberts, brother, Vernon Roberts, and sister, Marie Lambert.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Kim Gibson; children, Kelly Roberts (Jeff), James Roberts Jr. (Crystal), Heidi Roberts (Bradley), and Heather Roberts (Josh); sisters, Lassie Mayfield (Wayne) and Betty Woods; brothers, Hershell Roberts (Latonya) and Bobby Bridges (Sarah); ten grandchildren and two unborn grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Roberts, Thomas Lambert, Daniel Lambert, Roy Keenum, Shane Woods, and Jason Roberts.
