Funeral service for James Edward Lenz, 76, of Tanner will be Monday, December 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverand Eddie Gooch officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Lenz who, died Friday, December 27, 2013, at Decatur-Morgan Hospital was born August 07, 1937, in Alabama to Richard Henry Lenz and Rockey Blue Flannigan. He was a member of Isom’s Methodist Church and worked for Athens City Schools. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lenz; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three sons, John Forrest Lenz and James Ashley Lenz both of Anderson and Joshua Edward Lenz (Traci Lenz) of Wetumpka; brothers, Johnnie Lenz and Ricky Lenz both of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Mary Mayfield and Shirley Mitchell both of Tuscumbia, Kathleen Vandiver of Decatur, Gayle Murray of Sheffield; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
