Mr. James Edward Jolley, age 81 of Horton, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 25, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at Rock Springs Baptist Church of Albertville, with Brother Neal Chaffin and Brother Nick Mitchell officiating. Mr. Jolley will lie-in-state at 10:00 am till the time of service, and burial will follow at the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Jolley; daughters Myra Rollings (Roy) and Kay Whitman (Tommy); son Sherrill Jolley (Patricia); sisters Lou Emma Lee, Mervelene Templeton, and Margaret Camp; brother Marvin Jolley; grandchildren Will Jolley (Paige), Michael Jolley, Erica Jolley, Thomas Rollings (Weathers), John Davis Rollings, Emma Rollings, Katie Simpson (Ricky), Kelly Beck (Taylor), and Sam Whitman; and great grandchildren Addison Jolley, Clay Jolley, Silas Jolley, Veazey Rollings, Bryson Simpson, Leeam Simpson, Alyssa Simpson, Eli Beck and Opal Mae Beck.
Mr. Jolley was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Dovie Jolley; and sister Pearlene Smith.
Pallbearers will include Thomas Rollings, John Davis Rollings, Will Jolley, Michael Jolley, Taylor Beck, and Ricky Simpson; and honorary pallbearer Airman 1st Class Samuel Whitman.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donation be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice of Marshall County, thank you.
