Funeral services for James E. Wright, 81 of Corinth are set for 2pm Monday, July 7, 2025 at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST Chapel with interment in Dogwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2025 from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home- EAST Chapel. Bro. Raybon Richardson and Dr. Randy Bostick will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Brad Lee, Bryson Robinson, Ty Walton, Tim Robinson, Eddie Jones, Scott Lee and Jason Richardson. Born September 6, 1943 in Leedy, MS., Mr. Wright passed from this life on June 30, 2025 at his home in Corinth, MS. He retired from Tyrone with 24 years of service. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. James loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching NACAR, basketball, women’s baseball, working on antique cars, mowing and doing yardwork. James is survived by his wife of 46 years, Paula Wright; daughter, Melinda Barnes (Shane); 2 grandchildren, Jake Barnes (Delanie) and Jade Barnes and fiancé, Ty Walton; 3 great grandchildren, Paisleigh Kait Barnes, Christopher James Barnes and Asher Reid Walton; sister, Shirley Bain; other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Wright; mother, Edna McAnally Wright; brother, Ellis Wright and sister, Patricia Huggins.
