James Doyle Swindle, 87, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto in Southaven, MS. He was born April 3, 1941 in Golden, MS and worked in maintenance for a retail company for more than fifty years. He was a veteran of the United States Marines.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 26, at 1 p.m. at Red Bay City Cemetery, Red Bay, AL with Bro. A.G. Stepp officiating. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his son-Thomas G. Swindle (Linda); his daughter-Melissa Swindle Daniels (Ricky); granddaughter-Katherine Fesmire (Eric); two grandsons-Adam Kowing (Jessie) and Jeffrey Daniels; one great-grandson-Blake Daniels; two sisters-Nellie Patterson and Mary Holder (Junior); one brother-Odell Swindle (Tiny) and several nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years-Floyce Jean Carnes Swindle; three sisters-Rebel Stockton, Eupal Wells and Kathleen Stepp (M.L.) and one brother-in-law-Sam Patterson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 11-1 at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
