James Douglas “Slick” Hollis Sr., age 82, passed away Aug. 19, 2015. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Spry Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery, Leighton.
Mr. Hollis served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn Bratcher (Ralph), James Hollis Jr. (Sarah), and Brenda Henson; sister, Betty Manns; grandchildren, Shane Wade, Brittany Wade, Jason Hollins, Jimmy Hollins, Michelle Hollins, Paula Hollins, Gabby Hollis, Kane Hollis, and J.R. Hollis; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Addalyn, Lexie, Brent, Grace, and Brailie.
