Wilson, James “Doug”, age 82, a long time Franklin resident and Culleoka native passed away on April 17, 2018 after an extended illness. He was retired from Roadway Express after also working at ATF and IRS. He spent his retirement doing the things he loved. He and Jane traveled, attended church & musical events, and were forever taking care of family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lillian & Vernon Wilson. Also seven of his brothers and sisters; Edith (Hardin) Voss, Charles H. Wilson, Thomas “Milton” (Catherine) Wilson, Beatrice “Dale” (JL) Hobbs, Reba (Eugene) Dixon, Wendall “Buck” Wilson and Bobby Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jane Holt Pratt Wilson; his children, Karen “Kay” (Laura) Wilson, Eddie (Cheryl) Pratt, Kenny (Connie) Wilson; grandchildren, Erin (Cormac) McDonnell, Emily (Richard) Vargas, Kelsey (Jon) Bouler and Elizabeth “Beth” (Kyle) Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Lanie Anderson, Landon Vargas and Marianna Vargas; brother & sister in-law, Cornelia (Charles) Wilson, Jean (Bobby) Wilson, Patsy (Buck) Wilson & Ellis (Dianne) Holt. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Ed Slayton & Jeremy Hall officiating. Burial will be in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews and John Lawson, Wayne Toombs, Ricky Locke & Lowell Burke. Honorary pallbearers: Ken Wilson and Elders of Millview Church of Christ. Memorials may be made to Millview Church of Christ or the American Cancer Society.
