James “Denny” Smith, age 73 of Huntsville, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Huntsville Hospital.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Richard Handley will officiate.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his Daddy-Vester Smith; Mother-Margaret Smith; Daughters-Tammy Smith and Deanna Smith; Brothers-Wayne Smith, Charles Smith and Leon Smith; Sister-Diane Hendrix.
He is survived by his Daughter-Tabitha Argent (Scott) of Jasper; Sisters-Betty Lee and Marchita Williams (Larry) both of Jasper; Brother-Roger Dale Smith; Special friend-Mary (Shirley) Baker; Grandchildren-Drew Argent, Marissa Argent Varner (Jake) and Chase Argent; Great Granddaughter-Willow Rae Varner; Host of Nieces and Nephews.
