James Delos Wagoner was born January 31, 1928 in Stantonville, TN the son of the late Carl James Wagoner and Lonie Pounds Wagoner. He was united in marriage to Allie Frances Hill Roberson on October 14, 1972. Mrs. Wagoner preceded him in death on May 12, 2014. He attended the Mars Hill Church of Christ.
Mr. Wagoner was a longtime supporter of the McNairy County Democrat Party.
He departed this life on May 26, 2017 at his son’s home in Adamsville at the age of 89 Years, 3 Months, 26 Days. He is survived by a son, James A. Wagoner and wife Wendy of Adamsville, TN; a daughter, Linda Whitman and husband Lazaro Rodriguez of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a stepdaughter, Janice Harbin and husband Wayne of Selmer, TN; a stepson, Jeffery Roberson and wife Jammie of Stantonville, TN; 8 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Wagoner was preceded in death by three brothers, Olahs Wagoner, Ulus Wagoner, Cleatus Wagoner. He also was preceded in death by a grandson.
