James Daniel “JD” Maxwell, Jr, 55, of Cherokee passed away Friday, December 16, 2016. Visitation will be Sunday, December 18th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be Monday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
JD was a lifetime resident of Cherokee and was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel Maxwell, Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Alice Pearl Maxwell; children, Crystal and Josh; brother, David Maxwell and Teresa Stevenson; Anita Maxwell, partner of 29 years; four grandchildren; special niece, Jessie Moore “Cocoa”; several aunts; 1 uncle; and special dog, Boo Bear.
Close friends will serve as pallbearers.
