Funeral for James Clayton “J.C./Mac” McMahan, 75, of Decatur was Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel with David Currie and Jamie Waits officiating. Burial was in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. McMahan, who died Friday, January 23, 2015, at his residence, was born September 5, 1938, in Limestone County to James Clayton McMahan and Mae Irene Tennison McMahan. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mable McMahan; and daughter, Wanda McMahan.
Survivors include three sons, Stanley McMahan, Shane McMahan and Steve Waits; daughter, Vonda Whitlock; six grandchildren, Bradley McMahan, Kristina McMahan, Shannon Waits, Wesley Waits, Kelley Brown and Chrissy Brown; three great-grandchildren, Chase, Gage and Braden Waits; one brother, Roy McMahan; and three sisters, Verna Neville, Evelyn Hogan and Jody Turner.
Pallbearers were Greg Nelson, Darrell Motes, Eric Crowe, Toney Waits, Preston Pylant and Ryan Pylant.
