James Clarence Burkhalter, age 77 of Warrior, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his residence. He was a retired coal miner. He loved fishing, Nascar, and Alabama Football.
Funeral service will be Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2:30 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in the New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Zeldora Burkhalter; and brother, J.F. Burkhalter.
He is survived by his spouse, Brenda Burkhalter; children, Debra Phillips (Tommy), Donna Waldrop (Andy); step-children, Myranda Phillips Shipp (Tim), and David Phillips (Mandy); grandchildren, Tiffany McFall (Jeremy), Gina Rawls (Charlie), Bradley Waldrop, and Ashley Davis (Zac); step-grandchildren, Daxton Shipp, Brady Shipp, Stonie Phillips, and Kyle Phillips; great grandchildren, Carson and Kinslee McFall, Kane Rawls; and several other family members and friends.
