James Christopher Platt, 61, of Huntsville passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2022. He was born in Huntsville to Gordon and Telse Platt on December 29, 1960. He graduated from Grissom High School in 1979 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of North Alabama, and an MBA from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He worked as a buyer for Yulista. He was a lifelong Auburn fan, and an avid musician.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Platt. Survivors include his mother, Telse Platt Davis of Huntsville; sister Kirsten Platt Duffy (Gerald) of Solon, OH; niece Laura Duffy of State College, PA; and nephew Brian Duffy of Columbus, OH.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 18, 2022 at 2PM in the Club Room at Redstone Village, 12000 Turnmeyer Drive in Huntsville, with the Reverend Jeffrey Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
