James Charles Hayes, age 69, of Nashville, TN, formerly of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Tristar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Geodis in Brentwood, TN, formerly Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Hayes.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Barbara B. Hayes of Nashville, TN; mother, Gertrue Doss Hayes of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Melissa Hayes Compton (Jake), and Laura Hayes, both of Nashville, TN; one brother, Gary Hayes of Lawrenceburg, TN; and one granddaughter, Stella James Compton.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019, with Jeff Vanlandingham officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
