James Chalmer (Jake) Harris, 76, Littleville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at his residence.
He was a native of Jefferson County, but had lived in Littleville for the past 40 years. He was a member of the Baptist church. He served in the Army and was retired from Reynolds Metals Company with over 30 years service.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 14, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with James McCullar officiating.
Survivors include wife, Mary S. Harris; children, Kuhl E. Harris, Felicia S. Casper, James K. Harris; sister, Jerry Lay; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Mildred Harris.
