James Calvin “Jim” Shelly Jr., age 78, of Madison, Alabama, formerly of Florence, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Florence. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kevin Johnson officiating
