Funeral Services for Mr. James C. “Bo” Milstead, age 60 of Lineville, will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Bro. Travis Mitchell, Bro. Calvin Pope and Bro. Ray Milstead. Burial will follow at Fairview Poplar Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Milstead passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. He was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, a graduate of Lineville High School and a member of Shirey‘s Mill Assembly of God. Bo worked for Wellborn Cabinet Company for over 29 years. He loved farming, gardening, cooking eating what he had raised and taking care of his chickens

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sandy Milstead of Lineville, two sisters, Ann Crawford (Tony) of Ashland and Elaine Epperson (Roger) of Lineville, two sisters-in-law, Judy Grogan and Marie McDonald, his brother-in-law, Jimmy Hallman, all of Ashland, two nieces, Kasey McCain and Tammy Wakefield, three nephews, Cliff Patterson, Brian Crawford and Cory Sprayberry, his fur babies, Prissy, Noodles and Poochie, and a large extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Casey Milstead and Mildred Timmy Mitchell Milstead, his sister, Marjie Royster, and his infant sister, Baby Milstead.

Pallbearers will be: Jamie Crawford, Stanley McVey, Hubert Mitchell, Cliff Patterson, Brian Crawford and Josh Nelson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 5:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Tuesday.

Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.
