James (Buddy) Murphy was born March 21, 1944 in McNairy County, TN the son of the late Cecil and Irene Moore Murphy.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Milford Sharp on April 19, 1997.
Mr. Murphy was a truck driver for 33 years for Aqua Glass. He was an avid golfer, loved his family and enjoyed talking with people. He was a member of the Meeks Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee.
Mr. Murphy departed this life on December 23, 2015 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 71 Years, 9 Months, 2 Days. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sharp Murphy of Stantonville, TN; two sons, Tony Murphy of Adamsville, TN, Mike Sharp and wife Carrie of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Wendy Rickman of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Clint Sharp Rickman of Ramer, TN, Raegan Elizabeth Sharp of Selmer, TN; a sister, Jearlean (Murphy) McKenzie and husband Fate of Scotts Hill, TN; two brothers, Doyle Murphy and wife Marilyn of Henderson, TN, Bobby Murphy and wife Roberta of Bethel Springs, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Murphy was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Murphy, Lila Dean Murphy.
