Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Mr. Buddy Jackson, age 79 of Decherd. Mr. Jackson passed from this life on May 15, 2020 at his home. A native of Franklin County, he retired from TWRA in 2006 following 13 years of service. He was also a truck driver and a farmer. He was a fan of NASCAR and any type of automobile racing. He attended the Shady Grove Church of the Nazarene. He is preceded in death by his mother, Eliza Stevens Jackson and his father, Charlie Jackson; sister, Lorene Finney; brothers, J.L. Jackson, Albert Jackson and Charlie “Junior” Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, his loving and devoted wife of 58 years, Jo Ann Martin Jackson; daughter, Deanna (Dan) Sidley of Winchester; son, Dean (Lyn) Jackson also of Winchester; grandchildren, Kassie (Ryan) Holley, Keith (Kelly) Payne, Jake Sidley and Joey (Amber) Sidley; great-grandchildren, Secret, Haddon, Amelia, K.B. and Houston; sisters, Mina Bea (Jackie) Perry and Mary (Harold) Isbell, all of Decherd; brothers, Jimmy (Glenda) Jackson, Alvie (Kassie) Jackson and Danny Jackson, all of Decherd. The family will receive friends Saturday May 16, 2020 at Watson-North Funeral Home between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday May 17, 2020 from the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Tucker of the Shady Grove Church of the Nazarene officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
