Graveside service for James Brown, 91, of Falkville will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Reverend John Russell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Brown died on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at his residence. He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Morgan County to Marvin Brown and Mabell Johnson Brown. He was a member of the U.S. Air Corp and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Brown was a member of Methodist Church in Falkville, a DMAC Charter Member, a VFW and a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Jean Evans; one son, James Michael Brown; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Libb Brown; one daughter, Janice Vinson, Falkville; four stepsons, Randy Stiles, Jacksonville, Alabama, Jeff Stiles, Eva, Matt Stiles, Falkville and Kelley Stiles, Huntsville; one brother, Wayne Brown, North Carolina; one grandson, Kenny Vinson; and three great- grandchildren, Kayla, Lainy and Haley.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Vinson, Matt Stiles, John David Bryant, Glenn Byrd, Jimmy Little, Johnny Ferguson and Marlin Hutson.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Falkville.
