James Brice Wallace was born July 12, 1935 in Cherokee, AL. He died October 12, 2015.
He was the son of the late James Thomas and Francis Pheobe Wallace. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Wallace; children, Victoria Wallace Turberville and husband Donny, and Valerie Wallace; grandchildren, Wade Turberville and wife Christina, Mallory Noyola and husband Juan, and Tiffany Turberville; six great-grandchildren, Travis, Zack, Destiny, Ayden, Blaine, and Cullen; brothers, Jerald Wallace and wife Linda, and Jack Wallace and wife Susan; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Cherokee Vocational High School and was retired from Reynolds Metal, the U.S. Army, and the Colbert County School System. He was a member of the Cherokee First Baptist Church where he served in many roles including as a deacon for the last 55 years.
Visitation is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on October 15 at Cherokee First Baptist Church with funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Scott Livingston will be officiating with music by Mark Wallace, Beth James and Steve Slaton.
Pallbearers will be nephews Darryl Wallace, Mark Wallace, Michael Wallace, James Borden, Todd Isbell, and family friend, Jimmy Tapp. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons at Cherokee First Baptist Church and Russ Logan.
