James Auther Avery, age 80 of Jasper, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2020 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery. Dustin Murray and Mark Otts will officiate.
Mr. Avery was preceded in death by his Father-Bennie Aver; Mother-Dorathy Avery; Son-James Avery, Jr.; Sisters-Connie Stanford, Mary Lopez and Linda Avery Glass; Brother-Bennie Avery (Shirley); Great Grandson-Bentlee Avery.
He is survived by his Wife-Nettie Faye Avery; Son-Ronald Avery (Jeanette); Sister-Vicki Avery; Grandchildren-Daniel Avery (Ashley) and Anetra Earley (Brian); Great Grandchildren-Alyssa Earley and Addie Grace Avery; A host of nieces and nephews.
