James Anthony Pounds, 44, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital in Newnan, GA. He was born in Red Bay, AL to James Douglas and Diane Grissom Pounds. He had worked at Tiffin Motor Homes for twenty-four years and was a member of Church of the Highlands, Florence, AL.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2 p.m. at the Red Bay High School football stadium. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife – Shay Pounds; four children – Jade Kyle Pounds (Chelsey), Jace Kalvin Pounds, Jake Karly Pounds and Hunter Brady Pounds; his mother – Diane Grissom Pounds; one brother – Kevin Pounds (Terra); an aunt – Judy Sparks; his grandmother – Willard Pounds Davis and his cousins – Sarah Peppers, Brandon Sparks (Anna), Kim Waldrep (Matt) and their children.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, B.O. and Eva Grissom and James Pounds and an uncle, Wade Sparks.
