James Alvin Rogers, age 90, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 at Lexington Manor. Mr. Rogers was born January 31, 1924 to the late Claude and Bertie Rogers. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge with services at Judson Baptist Church in the Middleburg Community at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Mavil Powers Rogers, two sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include his wife Wanda Capley Rogers; one son, Kenny (Mayron) Rogers; two daughters, Nell Wood an Melba Johnson all of Lexington; one step-son, Woody (Sheila) Capley of Scotts Hill; two step-daughters, Donna (John) Churchwell of Parsons and Debbie Livingston of Henderson; five grandchildren, three great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any Memorials be made to Judson Church Cemetery Fund, C/O J. D.
