James Alvin “Jimmy” Jacobs, age 61, of Lawrenceburg,TN passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at his residence. He was a native of Lawrenceburg,TN, and of the Southern Baptist Faith. Jimmy was a jack of all trades, loved riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family. He was the Best Dad Ever!
He was preceded in death by his father, James Dolan Jacobs; mother, Virginia Faye Shelton Cole; one grandson, Isaiah Suratt; two brothers, David Wayne Jacobs and Timothy Lynn Jacobs; special niece, Alicia Spurgeon; step-sister, Sharon Daniel; and step-brother, Danny Cole.
He is survived by two daughters, Alana Jacobs (Mark Surratt) of Lawrenceburg,TN and Jasmin Jacobs (Jake Surratt) of Loretto, TN; wife, Darlene Jacobs of Lawrenceburg, TN; step-father, Charles Cole of Lawrenceburg,TN; two granddaughters,Ta’Leyah Jacobs of Lawrenceburg,TN and Sadie Surratt of Lawrenceburg,TN; one grandson, Jase Surratt of Lawrenceburg, TN; step-brother, Dale Cole of Arkansas; special uncle and aunt, Delma and Dorothy White of Lawrenceburg, TN; and one grandson on the way, Kohen.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Victory Baptist Church. Graveside service and Interment will be conducted at Shaw Cemetery at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 5, 2024, with Bro. Jeff Overton officiating.
