James A. “Jimmy” Kemp, age 74, passed away February 16, 2020. He is preceded in death by his father, Clemmie Lee Kemp; mother and step-father, Edgar and Thelma Green and his sister, Wanda Foster. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Kemp (Darren) Burch; grandson, Christopher Kemp; great-grandson, Payten Kemp, brother, Ronnie Kemp and a host of extended family and friends. Jimmy co-owned Kemps Barber Shop with his brother Ronnie he was a staple in the community of Adamsville for many years. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed fishing on Lay Lake and was most happy when he was there. A Memorial Service will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home, Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 2pm. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service time.
