James A. “Jim” Scott, age 76 of Florence, passed away Monday, March 17, 2026 at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 8, 1949 to Robert and Eula Scott. Jim was outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and talking about the weather. Family will have a memorial service at a later date. Jim is survived by son, Mitchell (Misty) Scott; daughter, Ginger Scott; grandchildren, Justin (Kaitlyn) Scott, Drew (Bailey) Scott, Maddox Scott, Kinley Scott, Shalor (Sara) Crunk, and Hannah (Seth) Cole; great grandchildren, Ryder Crunk, Iris Cole, and Bennett Scott; brothers, Gary Scott and Jack Scott; sister, Peggy (Raymond) Benson; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eula Scott; brothers, Bobby Scott, Steve Scott, Dan Scott, and David Scott; and sister, Earlene McFall.
