JAMES A. GARRETT 03/10/1926 —12/13/2013

James A. Garrett, 87, Golden, MS (formerly of Russellville) passed away Friday, December 13, 2013 at Southern Magnolia Assisted Living, Golden, MS.

Mr. Garrett served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a truck driver with the State Highway Department.

The visitation will be 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. James McCullar officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.

He is survived by step-daughter-in-law, Linda Madden; step-grandchildren, Jeff Madden, Shea Madden, Jeremy Madden, Stephanie Mayfield; and a host of nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Lillian Garrett, Barbara Pounders Garrett; parents, Otis & Evie (Fundenburk) Garrett; 3 brothers, 5 sisters.

The pallbearers will be Jeff Madden, Shea Madden, Jeremy Madden, Mike Mayfield, Hunter Smith, and Kody Madden.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home & Southern Magnolia Assisted Living for the love and care of Mr. Garrett.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
