Jake Walker Melton, age 11, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 in Lexington. He was born April 27, 2012 in Jackson. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Glen “Hippie” Melton and his great grandparents, Melvin & Edith Melton, K. D. and Grapel Austin, and Alice & Johnny Weaver. Survivors include his parents, Justin and Amanda Weaver Melton; his sister, Jordan Kate Melton; his grandparents, Johnny and Hope Weaver III, Kay Melton; great grandmother, Beverly Brown Sweeney; his uncles, Jarrett Melton and Jeff Melton; his aunts, Ginny Melton and Shasta Melton; and his cousins, Kailyn, Kinley, Lexi, Dillion Lee, and Madelyn Lee.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 12 Noon – 9 PM and on Wednesday, 10 AM – 3 PM.
