Today, we say goodbye to Jairo (Tony) Silva, born April 25, 1940, and who passed away on August 25, 2026.
Jairo was a remarkably methodical man who took great pride in maintaining order, keeping his surroundings impeccable. A private and dignified gentleman, he lived according to his own convictions and standards. His favorite song, “I Did It My Way,” seemed to capture the essence of the man he was—and indeed, he did.
His passions for reading, fútbol, and politics never faded. They reflected his curious mind, strong convictions, and enduring engagement with the world around him. He worked throughout his life to remain authentic and free, living by his own principles and with a character that was unmistakably his own.
He was a loving father to his children Melissa, Jessica and Gregory and grandfather to Jayden Silva and Jesse Kubulus. His Sister Bonty and nieces around the world will miss him.”
