Jacqueline Pate De Fatta, 80, died peacefully with her family at her side in Huntsville Hospital, on September 18, 2015 after a brief and sudden struggle with a massive stroke. Born May 8, 1935, in Mobile, Alabama, Jackie was the daughter of Roy Leo and Martha Ellen Pate. Jackie thoroughly enjoyed her family, friends, and gardening. She had a true green thumb and could bring any dying plant back to life! A former military spouse, Jackie settled back in Mobile where she lived most of her life, owned and operated a Health Food Store, and cared for her house and gardens. She moved to Huntsville in 2014 to be near her family. Jackie is survived by her sons Rick and wife Michelle, Mike and wife Lance, and Chris; her grandchildren Philip, Lauren, Diana, Danielle, and Jesse; her great grandchild Vivian; her sister Mary Eva and husband Bruce Horton and their children Dawn and Roy; her dear friend Linda; and Jaeger, her dog and constant companion for 12 years. There will be a private service and inurnment for family and friends at Good Shepherd Catholic Church September 21, 2015 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Stillservingveterans.org.
