Jacqueline Leary Ruggiere, 72, of Athens, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Ms. Ruggiere was the daughter of the late John E. Leary and Winifred Spruill Leary. She was a graduate of James Island High School in Charleston, South Carolina and spent a large part of her life in Decatur, Alabama, moving to Athens, Georgia in 2009 to be near family. Ms. Ruggiere was retired from American National Insurance. She loved golf and the beach and attended Living Hope Church in Athens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, John E. Leary Jr. and nephew, Johnnie Leary.
Survivors include children, Kelli Vanderpool and husband, Ron, of Dacula, Georgia; Thomas Smith Ruggiere Jr. and wife, Denise, of Athens, Georgia; grandchildren, Trey Vanderpool and Callan Vanderpool, both of Dacula, Georgia; and niece, Tabitha Leary Hall of Charleston, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
