Jacqueline Chausse Smith

Jacqueline Chausse Smith (1938-2023), a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was born in France. She was a courageous survivor of World War II, and her indomitable spirit shaped her capacity to love deeply.

Jaqueline met her husband, Paul Smith, in post-war France. They married in 1954 and moved to America. She was the mother of six children: Carol Ann, Bill, Johnny, Beth, Jim, and Brenda. Her devotion to her family was unwavering.

Later, she cherished her role as grandmother to Nicole, Danielle, and DeAndra, and great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Paul Smith passed away in 2007 after being married to Jacqueline for 52 years. Jacqueline touched countless lives with her strength, compassion, and love. She is survived by her children: Bill Smith, Beth Smith, Jim Smith, and Kevin and Brenda Folette.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home with Kevin Folette and Pastor Charles Owens officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
