Mr. Jackson “Jack” Boyd Primm, Jr., age 78, resident of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Tennessee State Veterans’ Home in Murfreesboro.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 12PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Don Richey officiating. Burial will follow in Morton Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on February 16, 1941 in Columbia, Jack was the son of the late Jackson B. Primm and the late Martha Belle Hardison Primm. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and served in the United States Army. He worked twenty-two years for Inter City Products before retiring in 2002. In previous years, Jack was an excellent bowler. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and watching baseball and football.

 

He is survived by his children: Bethany Ann (Martin) Benefield of Columbia, Richard (Rachel) Primm of Live Oak, TX; brother, Johnny (Cheryl) Primm of Spring Hill; sisters: Dolly Marie (Wayne) Henson of Columbia, Peggy Ruth (Joey) Neese of Columbia; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Primm; and brother, Tommy Primm.

 

Pallbearers will be: Shane Benefield, Wayne Henson, David Martin, Kenneth Pitts, Ronnie Pitts, and Dexter Green. Honorary pallbearers will include: Bobby Mangrum, Dennis Scoggins, and William C. Fitzgerald.
