JACKSON COUNTY-The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of several burglaries and thefts of stolen property the last two weeks. The stolen property included multiple All-Terrain Vehicles, four wheelers, trailers and high valued tools. Jackson County Sheriff Investigators initiated an investigation to locate and prosecute the person/s behind these thefts and identified a suspect as Dakota Dale Moore of Trenton, AL.

Investigators, with the assistance of the New Hope Police Department, Owens Cross Roads Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office patrol division worked jointly and discovered that Dakota Moore was at a residence located on Henley Drive just inside Marshall County.  Our Investigators and assisting Law Enforcement Agencies located Moore outside of the residence and approximately $17,000.00 of stolen property was recovered and later was returned to the owner.

Dakota Dale Moore was arrested by the New Hope Police Department on sixteen active arrest warrants through their agency and transported to the Marshall County Jail. Jackson County Investigators applied for and obtained a warrant for Dakota Moore through the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office for Felony possession of stolen property. Jackson County Investigators served Dakota Moore with that warrant at the Marshall County Jail.  Moore is being held at the Marshall County Jail on a $40,000 total bond.

Jackson County Investigators are still attempting to locate a trailer, Polaris, ATV and a four wheeler. The owner of the property is offering a cash reward for any assistance locating his property.
