Ralph Lee Billy Wayne Steed
SECTION-On October 2,2024 Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Officers with the Section Police Department responded to a call of a man who was armed with a hammer and had entered residences on Tammy Little Drive in Section Al, and assaulted individuals.
The male subject forced entry into two residences and Assaulted two individuals and a dog with the hammer during the attacks. Section Police Officers arrived on scene and confronted the male subject inside the residence still armed with the hammer. The male subject was Tased by a Section Police Officer and taken into custody with the assistance of a Deputy that arrived on scene. The two individuals that was assaulted were transported to Highlands Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Ralph Lee Billy Wayne Steed age 34 of Section, Al was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted Murder, two counts of Burglary 1st degree, Attempted Assault 2nd degree, Resisting Arrest and Cruelty to Animals. No Bond has been set.
